Garden Consultation

Full Service Garden Design

Planting Only Service

1. a) Garden Advice Consultation

From £210

Best suited to smaller gardens or focused questions, such as planting advice, improving existing borders, shade planting, screening, climbers, pots, trees or seasonal interest.

This includes up to 2 hours on site to talk through the garden, identify what is and is not working, and suggest practical ways to improve the space.

If you would like written notes, sketches, plant suggestions or a follow-up PDF pack afterwards, this can be quoted separately.

1. b) Garden Strategy Consultation

From £450

Best suited to larger gardens, blank canvases, family gardens, or spaces where you would like to think about the garden as a whole before deciding whether a full design is needed.

This is useful if you want to explore layout, zoning, planting direction, seating areas, focal points, practical open space, or how the garden could be improved gradually over time.

The consultation includes a review of your photographs, address and garden context beforehand, followed by up to 2.5 hours on site.

For larger or more complex gardens, a full topographical survey may be recommended before any detailed design work begins.

2. Full Service Garden Design

From £4,000

For gardens requiring a detailed design for hard and soft landscaping.

This may include site analysis, briefing, scaled 2D plans, 3D visuals, hard landscaping specifications, planting plans, contractor briefing, quote comparison and project monitoring where schedules allow.

An initial consultation or strategy meeting is required before a full design fee can be quoted.

3. Planting Only

Planting-only support is available where the layout and hard landscaping are already resolved.

This may include border redesign, plant lists, mood boards, planting plans, plant sourcing and planting support.

Planting work is quoted according to the size of the garden and the level of detail required.

How much will my garden cost to build?

Garden costs vary significantly depending on the size of the space, access, level changes, hard landscaping, materials, planting maturity, surveys, design fees and labour.

You may find it helpful to read my garden makeover guide which explains the likely costs involved and may help you think through the level of work you have in mind before getting started.
